I found this interesting eisernes kreuz at the St. Paul show yesterday.
It's a nice vaulted 1914 Meybauer Ek1 but what I found unusual
was that it's a later LDO style L/13 Meybauer frame.

A nice cross Greg!
So, it's a WW I core in a TR era frame?
Or, is it a WWI style core, made during the TR era?
Ralph.

Thanks Ralph,
I am not 100% sure. It looks to be made off of the original dies
and the inside dimensions of the L/13 frame are nearly identical to the 1914 frames which would
allow for the use of the earlier 1914 cores. I'm guessing they used left over cores or continued
to stamp out 1914 cores for replacement crosses. The only thing I noticed is the core details are
not quite as sharp as my 1914s but that could be just a manufacturing error and not really point
to idea or the other.

A very nice cross indeed Greg, love it.

Thanks, Ken.
I'm happy with it.
I picked it up as a common TR era Deumer and was pleasantly
once I got it home and really started looking at it.
