Tabstabs1964: The reason that your set is interesting is because there has never been a third medallion for Friedrich III, the son who succeed his father, Wilhelm I, and was the second Kaiser for about 90 days, March-June 1888. His son, Wilhelm II, succeed him and became the third, and last, Kaiser, Wilhelm II. In Germany, 1888 is known as the Dreikaiserjahr, the “Three Kaiser Year.” I have searched high and low and have never found a medallion commemorating Friedrich III. Dwight
