    The larger size buttons are collar rank buttons, the plain eagle is an Army for an NCO. The one with the shield I believe is for an civilian - army official (pay master or something like that).The imperial eagle one is for someone in imperial service, could be customs or colonial. Anchors and crowns are navy.
    I hope someone with more knowledge will post an answer.
