Stahlheim56,....no problem, these men are from " Infanterie-Regt. Hamburg (2.Hanseatisches) Nr.76 (Hamburg) VIII Armee Korps ". items/memorabilia relating to this and the other Hanseatic Regiments are quite rare.

Hi Thanks from your information I have further found out they were first formed in1866 19,899 men served in regiment Barracks were in Hamburg ,they only served in France & Belgium during WW1 in encirclment of Metz for example of 3000 men in Infantry Reg only 647 survived war .Disolved in 1919 to comply with Treaty of Versailes ,came into being again in1937 with same 76 number as Infantry reg and in 1944 a Panzer/Grenadier reg served in Poland & France
