It seems to me I've seen this ring around many times on several different sites for sale before with the same markings. I do not believe it is a period ring. Sorry. William

Agreed. There is also false patination. Leaf designs on either side
of the arms of the cross look to be styled roughly after
the WWII close combat clasp.........

Interesting ring, stamped "VELJEKSET SUNDQVIST" what means Brothers Sundqvist ,that was well known Finnish goldsmith.
So, its Finnish made not German. Will you sell it back to Finland ?
