    Gents,

My apologies in advance for being away from the Forum as long as I have. With a rather surprisingly hectic work schedule this year coupled with a worldwide pandemic, I have not been able to pursue my collecting interests as much as I would like to. Until recently, I have not made a single purchase this year. Sometimes the right opportunity is well worth the wait.

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm grateful that this Forum has been a pleasant diversion from the World's problems and I look forward to interacting with you all again!

Without further ado, here is my latest purchase and my first screw back cross for my collection. It is from what I have researched a Deutsche Offiziers Verein issued piece most likely made post war up to mid 1940's. I'm not sure what type/manufacturer is behind its construction. I love the design of the attachment plate and of course the "800" stamped wing-nut. I welcome your comments and I look forward to seeing all of your finds as well!

    Regards,

    Joel

    Hi Joel,
Nice cross. It would be difficult to assign a maker
as it uses the generic "slant W" core that was used by several different makers.

I still do not have a DOV cross of my own.

A very nice cross Joel! Congrats!

I've always like these DOV crosses, they seem to have a "quality" about them.
Here is mine that I purchased quite a while ago.

    Ralph,

What a splendid example! I love the variants of the wing nuts. I agree with the quality being topnotch for the period they were produced.

    Hi Joel

I also am finding it hard to find the time to spend on the forum, what with my shifts and the lockdowns. This year certainly is one I can't wait to see the back of.

This is a lovely cross and one I've now added to my wish list.
