The detailed pictures of the sellers;
Well illustrated Kris !, members, please post known fakes for discussion/debate, wether it be a buckle, badge or something a little bigger !......there appears to be a lot of Imperial fakes around these days, and I anticipate a lot more as we approach the centennial of the Great War .........
Prost ! Steve.
I was wundering how a fake would look like.So i baught thise one.
It as been nearly 30 years ago that I last handled one, when I had one in my first collection, and I must say; they did a great job on the shell, but the front plate, the chin scales and the cockades... s***s!
Cant speak for the eagle as mine did had one.
It looks great from a distance but that image fades when coming closer.
It could be used to present original parts.
But I am not going to keep it.

Kris, its a credible copy, like you say up close certain details, you have mentioned, let it down....out of curiousity, how much did you pay for it ?...the real thing would set you back £7000 up !
Prost ! Steve.
Hey Steve
I'll let you know in a PM, but lets say that one was just recently sold for 789£ on ebay, the item number was 190550976376
And on the other hand a genuine mint condition just was sold for 40.000 euro....I am afraid I am never going to own one anymore!

That helmet needs a very close examination IMO.
I used to be a regular customer of Regimentals, some 30 years ago, and it will take a other 300 years before i will buy from him again!!
We discussed it lately in https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/order...uestion-75661/
cheers
