    The Bottom reads in German "With Permission of the Royal Saxon Ministry of the Interior"...
    The Top Words appear to be Slavic...
    Is this a depiction of the Battle of Tannenberg? Looks like Germans vs Russians...

    IMO its Hungarian or Polish = Horsemen battle of Dél-Lengyelország.

    P.S.: The German translation of Glenn is absolutely correct. Good job for a Yankee.

    Thank You, Friend...I was born in Germany, my Mother is German, and I attended German Schools from the 2nd to the 8th Grade...
    Later I also worked for the US Army Library -Coleman Barracks- in Mannheim/Sandhofen, Germany...

    RKKAfan I can't find anything about the battle of. Del lengyelorszag. Could you tell me when this battle occured . Gary

    I just have translated the words:

    - lovassagi = cavalry, horsemen
    - harcz = battle, fight
    - Dél-Lengyelország = South of Poland

    The horsemen with the blue / red uniform look like k.u.k. Husaren "Imperial and Royal Hussars" to me.
