I don't know if this is original but, I don't think I have ever seen one with so many broken and split stems and stalks as this one. I also believe that I can see a seam on both sides of the front of the wreath.
The handle of the bayonet appears to be an Imperial one as well.
Best wait for other opinions,
Ralph.

Is it just me or does the catch seem out of line with the pin?
Thanks, Glen.
Thx Ralph, after you mentioned the seams i zoomed in closely and i see a seam on both sides running over the leaves, it also has a leaf ( third from above left) that has a broken stalk.
I think i will pass on this one.
Glen about the pin, i see a spot under the hinge where used to be the end of the needle as it seems...strange.
That it seems out of line can be the way the picture is taken.
Cheers,
Ger
One thing I notice is the hook is placed the wrong way round
All the best

Not all hooks on originals face the same direction Doug.
I learned that earlier.

Hi Ralph,
thank you for that bit of good information.
On this badge though if the hook was positioned correctly and the 'right' way round it looks as though it would line up better with the pin.
Apart from the observations already made above this looks like quite a good looking badge
I would like to have a handle of it and see how it is made up
All the best
Doug
