Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber opinions

Firstly, my apologies, I should have read the post re correct terminology and multiple items.
Anyhow, this is ex deceased veterans' estate, so reasonably confident in it.
There is some wear down to the base metal (Brass?)

For me, I am in agreement with Ralph on the maker, a good O. Schickle, BH Mayer tombak hollow.

That said, I think this one is a silver grade judging by the circled area...albeit better photo's / scans would be needed to confirm.

Yes its silver, the lighting has made it appear more on the bronze side.

Great looking badge with some history behind it.
I did do some research in to the Mayer/Schickle badges and didn't really come to any conclusion as to who made what.
I know fischer is very knowledgable on IAB's

This badge did look to be made of steel. I wonder if it is magnetic?

The other thing I spotted which didn't seem to appear on the photographs I have on file was what looks like a HI stamping on the reverse of the rifle butt.
