Hi all I'm looking at buying the infantry badge shown in the photos but have a few questions, the seller says it is a "semi hollow variant with no makers mark which could be from the junkers factory" I have read many of the threads in this forum but I have the following questions

    1. As a silver infantry badge what condition would you say it's in?
    2. I know there are 4 and 5 vein variants but this has 6? Is this a Fake?
    3. The top attachment of the pin seems different to any other I have seen posted (again does this identify it as a fake)?
    4. The gold attachment at the bottom is gold/brass coloured is this sign of a Repair?

I apologise for the trader marked photos they are from his website.

Thanks in advance for any help.

It's a late war zinc silver S&L. Completely as it should be. These are usually found in a similar condition. Stewy

Just as an update to this thread, I received the item this morning along with a silver stick pin of the same badge and I am very pleased with both.

Thankyou to all for your help and advice.

    Forgive me for hijacking.

I was just about to ask about "veins" but I think in the time it's taken me to type I sussed it, is it the number of veins inside the oak leave?

I too have bought some stuff from John at Eagle Relics recently, top bloke.

Don't apologise Andre, they came from me - and I did say it was original - I'd like to think I know some things

    Glad you're pleased
