Decided it was high time I represent the US in my collection with a 48 star flag.
Found this lovely 4 x 6 ft version with some of the signs you can have to narrow it to as close to the WW2 period as possible, such as zig-zag stitched on stars, cotton bunting with "moth-proof" declaration, on an Annin made flag. The flag was found with a USAAF uniform for a Radio Operator NCO in the same estate.
Beautiful colors, no holes, and just a little light striped pattern discoloration along the top half of the stars section on the side shown caused by something, maybe storage, not really sure. These flags were really well made, kind of putting to shame the quality of many of the US flags we find today.
