Desk bust of Winnie ..... wartime or ?

Not sure if this is the correct place for this but couldn't see anything in the western section better suited....

Anyway, I picked up this little ( 6" high ) desk bust of Winston Churchill from an antique shop the other day.





Made of some cheap pot metal and enamel painted, I have no idea whether it dates from his wartime prime ministership or the 1951-55 one, but for arguments sake, I'm going for wartime.... what say all?
Either way, it was not expensive - actually the person at the shop didn't even know who it was!!!!! ( which is telling for future generations )

BTW, I like the way the inside shot shows his ghostly image in relief ...spooky eh?

Worth some further research Dan. Could it be like the Victory Bells, cast from metal salvaged from German aircraft to raise funds? It's actually a rather good likeness of the Great man.

Good point, but I think it would have said something like the bells do.
Something to hunt down over the 'silly season' break .....Merry Christmas
