Hi Nacho,
This badge was in use during WWII and did not change until 1958 when the Yorkshire Brigade badge was adopted by the regiments grouped in that formation. It was also in use during WWI but then there was also a version with lugs rather than a slider. Looking at the way the slider is formed I would say this one is WWII and later.
I hope this helps.
Regards
Mark
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
Thanks Watchdog for info, so it maybe be postwar

Yes because of the length of time the design was in use but without provenance there really is no way to tell except with experience of what the actual manufacturing details look like especially with the slider. but that is more likely in this case to be the difference between WWI and WWII+.
In short if you want a WWII example I doubt anyone could say for sure whether this is wartime or post war production.

Thanks again for your response
