Help with identifying these flags?

Article about: Hello, Does anybody know what kind of flags these are? Or what they were used for? I think they’re Naval signal flags, but that’s only my guess. One of the flags is signed by the sellers

    Hello,

    Does anybody know what kind of flags these are? Or what they were used for? I think they’re Naval signal flags, but that’s only my guess. One of the flags is signed by the sellers uncles shipmates during Ww2.... well, that’s what he was told. These flags are part of a bunch of Ww2 memorabilia that were passed down to him.
