On the run up to WW2 a large event was staged to encourage men and women to do their bit as war clouds loomed over Europe.

WW2 British National Service Rally badge. Serial number 111. Rare original large celluloid tin button badge issued on the day, to those attending the 'National Service Rally' which was held in Hyde Park London, in the early part of 1939 to promote and to recruit to all the different services of the war effort, the central number '111' denoting which part of the parade ground you were designated. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting.
