I collect WWII era Ranger scrolls. I'm not a fan of this type of scroll and many on his site.

The original ranger scrolls were embroidered on wool (2nd Ranger) and were cut precisely with trimmed gauze back. They have also been documented with wide letter numbers. They also produced embroidered on felt (5th Ranger) thin letter number combo's late war.

And to muddy the waters ranger scrolls were made for collectors during and after the war. WWII ranger scrolls are one of the most reproduced patches on the market.

Bottom is a March 1945 Roy Paris catalogue Ranger scrolls for sale to the public.
