I have three examples of this Regt's cap badge in my collection. One is an Officers Bronze, which is maker marker to "JR Gaunt, London" while the other two are Other Rank's bi metal badges. All are slightly different in design.
Cheers, Ade.

Hi Ade !
Were these badges similar in WWI ?
( I was just given a set of 2 WWI medals to a guy from this regiment - R. WAR. R.
who settled here in Canada. A good friends wife looked after the fellow until he died
in 1980 or thereabouts, the son not wanting these or much else, she hadn't known
what to do with them until she visited and learned of my "addiction" !
She told me he often talked of the war, about how he was gassed, etc.........
I've looked on the net but couldn't find much WWI regimental history at all. )
Hi, yes the badge was the same in WW1. There was one variation for the "Birmingham Pals Battalion" which had the addition of a scroll underneath with the title. These are MUCH faked! A friend of mine specialises in collecting this Regt only from the Great War. He has several medal groups to the Regt.
I would like to see yours. These are re-searchable of course. The medal roll index card can be bought cheaply for £2.
Cheers, Ade.
