a fellow told me once EGA's with a dot on the anchor blade are wartime ones,...
The good ones do not have the fouled rope on the anchor. Rich A. in Pa.

No idea. Is the dot on the devices with the fouled rope or not? What manufacturer? In that lot the only ones I would buy are the ones with no rope on the anchor. In fact those are the only type I do buy. Rich A. in Pa.

That's a good point about the dot being on the fouled rope ones. From what I can see here, yes, it seems to be only on those types. I also notice the blades being different, one from another on the anchors with the fouled rope . I am not a collector of EGA's, yet I have had a few
over the years and had incorrect information all the while. Thank you very much for shedding light on this important detail. I always enjoy looking at your posts and the amount of material you work so hard to find. This forum is a very wonderful place with so many well informed
collectors.
