Italian or axis hat. Please help in identification

I have owned this hat for years and recently rediscoved it along with a collection of helmets in my home.all are for sale.

hi ade, thank you for your comments. i uploaded 6 pictures but i see only three. the missing front of the hat picture that is missing shows the badges which would make identification much easier.
