Article about: I had the hardest time finding one of these. After weeks of searching, I found this. It looks like someone polished it. Can anyone give me any information on it?

    Hi Paul,
    it is a model used by the army called:
    "Medaglioncino di riconoscimento Modello 1932".
    The necklace is not correct, the original one is this:
    Italian Dog Tag

    I have no further information on the soldier who wore it, but it is not among the war dead.

    I agree with Oldsteel and add that Mr. Giarraffa was born on the year 1917 in Palermo.
    The cadmio finish was very thin and disappeared when the dog tag was used.
