Italian M1891/ TS Transverse Bayonet

These are rarely seen and I have been looking for one for quit a while. I found one for sale at the Allentown show last weekend, but it was severely rusted/ in relic condition and the seller knew it was a rare bayonet and wouldn't budge on his $250 asking price.

Lo and behold, I found this bayonet listed on ebay. It was mislabeled as an Italian WWII bayonet. I took a gamble and won the bayonet for $200... Hopefully I did ok. This is the only photo the seller provided:

A worry that the seller doesn't show the blade/point but as you said, it's a rare bird-those whacky Italians and their plethora of carbines and bayos!

This is how the bayonet was described:
World War Two Italian Carcano Bayonet. Very nice used condition. Bluing on blade is 98%. Scabbard in very nice original condition.

There's also a 14 day return period.

I was competing with another bidder who I assume also realized this is a transverse. It was very exciting to win out and I feel like I paid a fair price as long as the scabbard isn't hiding something...

Thanks, gents! When I picked up the rifle about a year ago, I was told it would be near impossible to find a sling and impossible to find a bayonet... I have both of those accessories now!
