Italian WW2 Steel Helmet - real?

New collector purchased what was advertised as WW2 Italian steel helmet. Is there anyway to verify this was used in WW2?

A post war M33. Shell could be WW2 era but others with more knowledge can make that call.

Problem with war time produced M33's is that they were constantly refurbished and used up until the 1980's.

Your helmet has been repainted with post war liner and chin strap

Yep, post war helmet. One of the last issue before the adoption of kevlar helmets.
