    Default M33 or Cuban helmets??

Please tell me what these helmets are. I was told that they are Italian M33's, but have subsequently been told that they are Cuban. I cannot find any reference to Cuban Helmets anywhere. The one helmet has a very olive drab/ green colour while the other has a sort of mustardy-green colour. Thank you.

I'm by no means an expert, but I was under the impression that before 1958 revolution in Cuba (the one which brought Fidel Castro to power), the Cuban army used mainly U.S.-made equipment, such as M1 helmets, M1 Carbine rifles etc. Certainly the guerillas (such as those under the famous Ernesto 'Che' Guevara) were known to capture a lot of U.S.-made equipment, and Guevara put down in writing, in his book 'Guerilla Warfare' his preference for the M1 Garand rifle, which was in his eyes a good weapon, but more importantly common amongst government forces, so they could be captured easily, along with ammunition, spares etc. I'm sure I've seen pictures of the rebels wearing M1 helmets as well on occasion.

Not sure what the Cuban army used before they used U.S. equipment, maybe they did make or order helmets like those at one point.

Not sure either. All I know is that a retired Colonel of the South African Air Force reckons he saw these used in Angola by Cuban forces during the Bush War in the 1980's. I would just like to know what I have here.
