Article about: Can anyone identify this buttonhole badge? Interestingly, the buttonhole backing is riveted on. I have seen this with the red in enamel before, but this one is pebbled and painted. Any info

    Hi Brig, this is a fascist badge for "Squadrista", this variant was made by SA Pagani of Milan, and was painted instead of enameled.

    Was it simply a badge to denote members of a squad?

    This is the generic version, but there were also customized variants for specific units.
    This simplified variant is made of painted zamak metal.
