    Default Bayonet Identification

    Hello all,

I have a bayonet that I believe is a Arisaka Type 30 Training Bayonet. I has one screw on both sides of grip with scabbard. There are no marking on the grip or near the blade wear i've seen other bayonets have marking on it. There is no edge on this blade so it has to be a training blade. It was my fathers and I found it behind his door in his living room when we was clean up his house after he passed away last year. So if I could get a little help to confirm this would be awesome. Thank you for the help.

    Respectfully,

    Matthew

Hi Matthew, welcome to the Forum. Sounds like that is exactly what you have
    - an Arisaka training bayonet. Below is a link for reference ( pic #14
shows a bayonet identical to yours ).........

Yep that looks just like that. I guess its not uncommon for them not to have any marking on them sometimes. I guess in the rush to get them made they lacked in doing marking on them. because they thought they was going to be invaded. Thats what I learned about it. cool stuff if you ask me lol.

    Thank you for the help,

    matthew
