Dug Dog Tag????

This tag looks like it was dug up and and cleaned some how possibly electrolysis. I have seen tags that were dug up in Guadalcanal and Pavuvu that were in in a similar condition. The seller didn’t have any information on it and said it was in a coin shop he had bought and was selling. I seen another tag similar too this in another post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
