    Hello everyone,

This came in last week. Impressive lot of a lieutenant in the Imperial Guard.
As you see i have his uniform and coat, also his parade uniform etc..
I also have his picture and if someone has the time to do a traduction of his name would be very nice for my archive.
For the period i would lean late '20 early '30.

Thank you stuka. My greatest passion is Japanese militaria but of the "European theatre" i also have Italian rsi and Finish militaria so i understand when it comes to choose.

    Nicolas,

The name in the hat works out to be Hamajima: はまじま.

Note that two different hentaigana were used for the repetitive "ma" ま sound; the two hentaigana are based on two different kanji -- I guess so the embroidery does not look repetitive.

The two kanji with the "ma" sound are
    ma [alt. readings: aida/ken/kan]
    man [alt readings: ban/mi]

    Cheers,
