Helmet Question
I won this for a steal of a price on ebay some years back and have always been curious as to the meaning of the black dot painted on the star under the cover. Any ideas?
As you can see, it's a very nice helmet & cover but it looks like a few inches have been cut off the tie tapes.

Thanky! For a long time I never thought I'd be able to add a helmet cover to my collection until that one came along. Since then I was able add a later cover with the reinforced edge. These things ain't cheap!

I can't make out what is within the parentheses... it looks like

I know I will run across one when I least expect it and will need to beg, borrow, steal to raise the $. Not actively looking for one but do want to get one to add to my IJN helmet and camo cover.by arisakadogs
