Can someone please translate the character on the right,I think the one on the left is Fuji, please correct me if I am wrong.

Fuji is correct, but together, the name is read Sudou. Names like Sato, Saito, Kato, also including the kanji, Fuji are all generally descendants of the aristocratic Fujiwara clan.

And to add on to what Nick writes, Sudō is written on your case from right to left. Today it would be written left to right:
