Hinomaru no Yosegaki, One of Two
Hello: Found two Hinomaru no Yosegaki. Picture of the first one attached. I can get better pictures next week. I would appreciate feedback on authenticity and anything that would make it of interest, beyond signatures.
I note that the large characters on the right hand side appear to translate to the frequently found slogan "continued luck in the fortunes of war". However, I cannot identify the first large character in the upper right hand side. Is it "Ki"?
Thank you for any feedback. I will separately post the other flag.

Presented to Torao Okada. Otherwise only names and nothing of interest.

Thank you Nick. Is the first large character in the upper right "Ki"? It does not appear to my uneducated eye to be the character that I typically see in this slogan.

What everyone misreads as "Ki"( an educated Japanese will never read it as such), is correctly read "Inoru". What you see is only an earlier complicated form of that.

禱 simplified today as 祷 is also pronounced inoru as is 祈.
