IJA Helmet/Cover Help

Hi all- looking for some help/opinions on this helmet cover. These were found by a picker buddy this week. I've never seen another cover with this style interior..... is the liner missing? I dont see any evidence of something ripped out. Has anyone ever seen a cover like this? I dont think its fake but im far from an expert. Appreciate any help/thoughts!

Surely not original. Must, at least, have issue markings inside. See here for marking requirements and spec details.

Thanks Nick for your help. I looked at that but wasn’t sure if this was potentially a late cover or something so wanted to double check.

Suppliers only got paid for products delivered and given army acceptance stamps, which worked like delivery notices and receipts. No markings meant the army never saw it and no supplier got paid for it, typical for stage props.
