Out of curiosity. What were the helmets made out of material wise??

The helmet is copied from Prussian Pickelhaube, The shell seems to be made of papers pasted onto a wooden mold, Theoutersurfaceisjapannedwithblacklacquer(黒漆).This type of helmet iscalled a peach shaped helmet(桃子様兜).There is a hole drilled in
the top and around metal ornament
similar to hachimanza(八幡座)is at the top of the helmet. There is a large metal ornament of
a chrysanthemum with leaves at the front.
Leather is used for the inner sweatband.
    There is
also a metal chinstrap combined with several wavy-shaped thin pieces of metal decorating it.
Thus, the helmet is an example of a Japanese effort to adopt western clothing styles
during the Meiji Period, but one which continued to use traditional Japanese ornamentation
    and materials.

Below, grasp the modeling characteristics by taking the main wordings in order from the contents of the regulations of the Imperial Guard (bottom row of Table 2).
① Geology: leather hauling paint over black paint
The material is seen inside appearing as a layer of paper, black lacquer is applied, the strap and the inner edge
Leather is used in. "Zhangge" is the designation of one technique 3 in Urushi crafting.
    ② Manufacturer: Momoko helm shape
"Momoko-sama" is considered to indicate that it is a design reminiscent of the shape of the peach fruit, and the day
It is a reminder of familiar peach shape helmet 4 classified as a change helmet of books.
③ Front and Horizontal: Silver Chrysanthemum Crested Nine Nano Leaves Silver Total Width 1 Dimension 7 Minutes Vertical 1 Minute
Yonini Silver wire three-section one-piece wearing
The band of "silver wire" goes around the "chrysanthemum head" and "leaf" of the "silver" in the previous chapter, the boundary between the head and the eaves. Both as stipulated
It can be regarded as the dimension of.
Therefore, this material can basically be said to be a regular hat based on the original clothing system established. However, as a difference from the original clothing system
The direction of the front and rear eaves and the shape of the protrusion of the top of the head can be cited.
