Japanese Bread bag - IJA or SNLF?
Hello friends, I am trying to complete the field gear needed to finish an IJA display. I don't know if this bread bag is the type used by the Army or Navy. I have some basic research books but lack a really comprehensive source on field gear. I did look at the Evolution of the bread bag posted here by Nick Komiya but the details of this bag don't quite match up to the models depicted. I think it is a 1914 Army model. It could be a 1938 model but it looks like the later issue dropped the leather strap and buckle combo so I lean to 1914. Help is appreciated! Neil
