Hey!
I was going to share some of my katanas.
According to information, should be from ww2.
Except the long one from 1926.
I would love to hear your views on these.
Sincerely:
Michael.

Hi Michael , to assist in getting good feedback on these swords , firstly , can you please post them in individual threads and secondly with good close up photos of the blade in sections , and both sides of the tang of the blade ( the tsuka or handle will have to be removed , with care , to reveal this ) and photographed with the tip of the blade uppermost ,
Regards Alan
REGARDS AL
We are the Pilgrims , master, we shall go
Always a little further : it may be
Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow
Across that angry or that glimmering sea...
Hey! Alan and thanks for your reply.
I took one apart, but it's not that easy to photograph the blade?
Are these pictures enough?
Sincerely:
Michael.
I am afraid you are not getting any response, because the photo of the tang is not sharp enough to tell whether there is a signature engraved there. Is there a signature of the smith?
Also, none of these sword models should have existed in 1926, so your reference to a date must signify that the tang of that one is signed and dated. Starting with good photos of the tang of the sword claiming to be from 1926 would surely prompt some constructive response.
I can't tell for sure which is the long one you're talking about. Why do you think it's 1926?
The one you took apart, I saw some issues of the Habaki to blade fit. The Habaki is too tall which creates a big step where it meets the cutting edge. This tells me the Habaki is made for a different blade. The blade may have been switched. The current blade is only so-so quality.
