    Assuming you care, if you photograph the medals again with less direct light, I should be able to read and translate them for you.

    The medals read:

    Patriotic Women's Association Regular Member

    The writing the booklet cover:

    Collection of Imperial Rescripts and Instructions

    What else do you have? Not sure I would want to translate the booklet since I believe it will be archaic and Imperial Court style Japanese.

    Rich,

    The right column reads: Hongo Nezu (an area of tokyo and probably where the owner was from)

    Left column reads: NISHIZAKA Sairakuro OR Seirakuro (the owner's name; the first name can be read either way)

    Is that you have for now?
