Medal finds

Hello, I bought this grouping recently. It came from the older sister of the seller. She told me her older sister picked the tin box up off the top of an open garbage can while walking home from school sometime around 1975. It looks like the Vet. Researched and placed typewritten descriptions. Best, Bill

White ribbon with red borders is the Order of the Rising Sun, 7th Class (with green paulownia leaves).

The star medal is the Order of the Sacred Treasure, 8th or 7th Class. I can't see the boutonniere clear enough to tell.

The mulit-colored ribboned medal shown from the reverse side looks to be the Manchurian Incident War Dispatch Medal.

If you get a clear picture of the names on the two Golden Kites, I might be able to tell you to whom they were presented.

Pretty certain Joki is a contraction for

• 機関兵 Engineering

• 二等兵曹

Nitōheisō. Petty Officer Second Class
