A long long time ago, I made a thread inquiring into National Police Reserve Canteens compared to WW2 models. Fast forward to today and I actually started collecting National Police Reserve and Showa era JGSDF uniforms and gear and I ended up getting an NPR canteen.

Unfortunately, the retaining strap has been shortened and the snap on it removed at some point.
