Great set! Apparently, the person (vet?) who picked it up only thought it was just another landing troop outfit.
Of the markings, I can only make out the First Naval Clothing Depot (海軍第一衣糧廠)issue stamp on the jacket and size 2 marking (弐)on the pants.
Apparently, the First Naval Clothing Depot was established in Shinagawa in Tokyo in October, 1943 so it will place the date of the outfit at least after such date.

Wow! What a find Jareth! I've only seen one other authentic IJN paratrooper uniform peice (top only) and it came from a picker going through a Goodwill/2nd hand clothing store. He knew it was militray, but thats all and plucked it out. The cool thing was that the T-94 pistol pocket still had a lanyard made from white parachute cord in it! Yours is stone mint unissued - just awesome
Congrats

You will see Japanese pilots take the clock out of their dash and hang it upside down around their neck using para cord too. I used the red cord to make a lanyard for my type 100 IJA pilots clock. Its clearly something the soldiers had acess to
