Got this stuff. Could someone tell me what the writing/stamps on the canteen mean and the 2 paper items. Thanks. Rich A. in Pa.

The first photo is the cover from the Emperor's Rescript. The second one is a page from an elementary school child's Japanese Reader Class text book. On the top the single printed kanji means this kanji is being taught the child for the first time, and the example text below is titled "Foraging for clams at the seashore". The kanji scratched onto the canteen means "crane", the ornithological kind. and the webbing seems to show the latter half of a girl's name, suggesting postwar use by a girl.
Thanks Guys! Rich A. in Pa.
