    This tag is sewn on the holster strap. The holster and pistol came home with a family member who fought in WW2. I hope I have it right side up. I appreciate any translation help.

    It's the family name of Komai. The character in the oval appears to read "Ma", probably an abbreviation of his first name like Masao, Masa, Masatoshi, etc, like how one writes "M. Komai" in English style.
