    Default Wakizaki Replica?

    Hello forum,

Once again not a sword person... but I have a question in regard to this blade I was looking at. Can replicas have this type of a temper line? This sword is listed as a replica and was just curious if the pro’s can tell just by these few photos?

Maybe an older replica? Sorry, no photos of the tang... these are the only photos I could get. The clarity isn’t that good either... these were the only photos sent to me.

I’ve seen the dress swords with the acid etched temper line... this looks different.

Yes, it is a replica. The "temper" line is artifically done either with a chemical or mechanically.
