Both blades are made of damascus steel (the wavy lines in the steel are the sign). Plus the first one has a stamped number on the habaki. While that can be rarely found on Japanese habaki, it is quite often found on Chinese habaki. The tsuba (handguard) is very poorly made. All together - evidence says "Chinese replicas". Or of course, another option is they are simply Chinese swords. Prices for replicas are more like $150 as they are only worthy of decorative wall-hangers.
