    Default WW2 Japanese pencils

Hello all, I’ve recently bought a few items from Japan. One of the lots was a group of Japanese military items, however in the parcel that arrived were these items?

They were listed as soldiers chopsticks. Methinks not. The German on the pencil reads ‘war necessities’ and I believe the Japanese kanji below the imperial star reads ‘Army’.

Has anyone seen or heard of these before please?
