    Producer is Carl Schmidt & Sohn

    Thank you, but I can not find this manufacturer of dress bayonets. Someone can provide information.

    Hi Dok..let me dig into it further and will give you an answer tonight after work.
    It is also possible this may be post war and was produced by Carl Schmidt.

    I will find out more.

    A close inspection, I saw two cracks.

    Nice looking knife any any event. Looks to have sanbar stag grips.

    It is a Carl Schmidt produced knife but this is I believe a post war made knife. Carl Schmidt is one of the Solingen makers to continue in production post WW2 and also produced HJ style "Scout knives". The fact there is no mortice slot or button and even the rivets lead me to think "post war".

    Thank you for your opinion. I then have a question on rivets. Here we see domed rivets. Post-war, it seems to me, were flat. Or am I wrong?
