The Rbnr code was used from 1943 onwards and replaced the makers name and address (or company logo) on government contract uniforms, caps and field equipment and knives.

Vedran for the rest of the collectors including myself can you give us a small summary of the meaning of Rbnr and its function? I would like to paste this information to K98 Thread along with their codes. This would go well together when a member or visitor is seeking information on a K98 and its frog together.

    Are those cities distribution points?
What did the Rbnr stand for?
    Its function?
    What makers it affected?
Its origin, if possible,,and was there any Pre 1943 data for the leather frog?

This would be a great resource Regards Larry

Absolutely Vedran, Thank you for the update and we are Thankful for Ade creating this resource. Good eyes Vedran for finding it!

I added it to the existing K98 registry data thread. https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/dagge...d-rbnr-233978/

Glad to know someone has been reading my work. I have it pinned in the field gear and uniform forums.

I can add some futher detail, while I do not have the details for the exact maker, I can tell you that "0655" was out of the town of Kaiserslautern (Bayern).

    Cheers, Ade.

Kudos to Adrian for all of your hard work . In some respects this seems to be something of a “Rosetta Stone” for a portion of the work by the late Anthony Carter - whose very untimely passing was a loss to us all. With as I recall three of the Reichsbetriebsnummern already possibly deciphered by other means, so this list is going to be a valuable asset along with the Liste der Fertigungskennzeichen (Manufacturers/factory identification markings list - ie: the dated letter codes.). With the 0/0850 (Munich) already suggesting to me that some of these may have been for a LAGESA - LAGO - L.L.G. - (Landeslieferungenossenschaft der Sattler) type of structure, that we would view as a collective or collection point. With the manufacturing characteristics and style of the 0/0850 marking for example, I believe on a frog from a maker in Vienna. That tentative identification will of course need to be verified, as I don’t have access to it at the moment. Once again, Well Done!! Best Regards to All, Fred
