I think it is OK. It has been heavily cleaned.

Thanks for the reply. I bought this over in the Republic of Georgia in 2003 and the guy may have cleaned it before he sold it. Any idea what price range this might be in? I have done research on the net and it seems to be pretty fluid.

in this condition it will be about 400-450 euro in Holland
most of the goldwash seems to be polished away, and there are haircracks in the grip
