    What a shame... I wonder how it was stored for it to deteriorate so bad? Maybe you can find replacement grips and clean the blade a bit. A piece of history that deserves a bit of restoration...

    Best of luck with this project.

    It was found in the cellar.
    But it will stay that way, it's part of his history.

    Great find Kris..yea be careful with that etch..and it would be best to hear from Danny or Oleg on any restoration work on the blade.

    There is nothing you can do about that blade except putting a little oil on it. I would recommend balllistol.

    That is what I did. But I used WD40...
    I'll check for ballistol, later this week.
