Kriegsmarine 1st model Alcoso etched dagger with m38 pommel and deluxe scabbard

This KM dagger by Alcoso belongs to a good collector friend of mine named Danny.
His core interest: Marine daggers , although he has a lot of great Heer and SA daggers, not to forget his Luftwaffe section
This is a great representation dagger with the early 1938 Replacement Pommel that perfectly fits the early logo.
The scabbard is the pebbeld one which is totally hand stiched /engraved.
These hand engraved/ stiched scabbards are very rare and hard to find.
Note the square around the release button, only found on Alcoso, all other makers have the Anchor.
The scabbard is a master piece of its own.

These are 3 great daggers that represent each style of scabbard enhancement,,mainly the presentation dagger. many collectors would scoff at the thought of the presentation dagger being a fake because of the hand enhanced scabbard. Just because we dont see something of this nature all the time. The reason being is that thye were made and they are out there but only a very few of them. This example is hand crafted.
Note worthy is the hammer pebbled sections on the scabbard and the engraved carrying rings. The owner of this dagger must of either been well liked and was presented to him or he was an officer in high rank and was able to afford such a quality crafted dagger. Your friend Danny is fortunate to have such an example in his collection. Thanks for sharing this dagger we dont see too many of this type here on this forum. Holy cow batman that is one amazing looking scabbard, I love the hand hammered style and someday hope to own one, but that one really takes the cake, I never even knew that style existed, amazing stuff!!
