Hi Oleg..would it be common for Weyersburg to order fittings from other producers as seen with many other dagger types?
Would this combination be possible ?

    Hi Larry,

in my humble opinion the scabbard has been replaced. Maybe this also explains the thin red felt buffer, and not the thick leather one, as was the case by Weyersberg.

    Best,
    Oleg.

I compared millimeter to millimeter with Wittmann Militaria #35272 2nd Model Naval Officer's Dagger by Paul Weyersberg and cant find any difference.

Then you must try it again. But you need to know that the dagger on TW’s website is a parts dagger. He only has a blade from Weyersberg.
Maybe this website will be helpful for you

So, when compared to Whittmann's, if it didn't match who would have the correct piece, you or Whittmann ?

    Radnus,

The reason I asked is I believe this to be one that was offered by a seller that has offered for sale a bunch of humped up and reproduction items. If so, I'd suggest returning it. That seller was offering an ivory Navy grip by itself some months ago, so I suspect this is the same grip paired with fittings.

Radnus, for the record Oleg is an expert, if he says it's a parts dagger, it is.

Same opinion. Not an expert on naval daggers myself, I appreciate the advice of specialists and will let it go at that. Best Regards, Fred
